2019 Alex McCallum GreenWedge cycling TT 

Sunday the 31st March

The TT is a not-so-serious 41km ride against the clock through the Warrandyte Hills. It is a test against yourself, your ability to navigate the course and to climb and descend. The winner takes the coveted Golden Croissant and loads of Kudos. Categories are best time for Men and for Women, Under 24 for Men and for Women, KOM and QOM on Pigeon Bank segment. Rider Level TT Handicap Winners for same.

The GreenWedge Cycling TT conitues without Le Patron, Alex McCallum, founder of GreenWedge Cycling  and friend to all. Alex passed away far too soon on 24 May 2017 . As always we will remember Alex as we push ourselves over his beloved GreenWedge hills.

1) Leaving from the carpark below the bridge, behind the lolly shop make your way up onto the bridge. timing starts from the bus stop on the other side of the bridge. Head out to Kangaroo Ground.
2) Turn right on to Main road at the roundabout and then go out through Panton hill and Smiths Gully to St Andrews.
3) When you arrive in St Andrews turn left on the hurstbridge rd and head to hurstbridge and then straight through to Wattle Glen.
4) Turn right at the roundabout in Wattle Glen to head back up to Kangaroo Ground.
5) Turn right onto Main rd and go through Kangaroo Ground
6) Turn left at the roundabout to head back to Warrandyte. The finish is at the end of 100 steps car park which is about 300m before the warrandyte bridge.
At all times give way to traffic and obey the road rules as there will be traffic on the road.
Last riders on course before 10:30. Final placings will be determined by Strava upload completed by 3pm on the 31st of March.

This year the TT is the same – but different. It will be the first one without Le Patron, Alex McCallum, founder of GreenWedge Cycling and the TT, and friend to all. Alex passed away far too soon on 24 May last year, two months after the TT. We will remember Alex as we push ourselves over his beloved Green Wedge hills.

7:30 am Kangaroo Ground – Tennis Court, under the tree.

Taking in Dawsons Rd climb, Nutfield, Hildebrand, Butterman’s and then up Clintons to Coffee

Ride the Ranges

The GreenWEDGE Cycling April ride is heading out of town to Euroa an hour and a half from Melbourne to participate in the 130km Ride the Ranges Ride.  The ride takes you out of Euroa north through Miepoll, then along Pine Lodge Rd, before turning south to Violet Town, up Harrys Creek Rd, then looping around through Strathbogie and returning to Euroa down from Kelvins View.

The ride is organised as a charity event and there is an entrance fee which includes a post ride BBQ.
