Today is the Last Day of Summer 2014-15 and tomorrow The Autumn Classics start. These are my pick the classics in Victoria, Australia.
The Marysville Lake Mountain Challenge is organised by Cycling Victoria and your still a chance to get a spot on the ride on March 1. It starts in Marysville and heads out through Buxton, Taggerty, Alexandra, Eildon, Thornton, Narbethong and back Marysville before climbing up to Lake Mountain, 160km of awesome cycling.
3 Peaks (Falls Creek) this classic starts in Falls Creek just on dawn with a descent to Mt Beauty, up Tawonga Gap, Mt Hotham and finally the Back of Falls. The 2015 ride is on March 8 and is booked out already and is organised by Bicycle Network.
The best of all is the Warrandyte Cycling Time Trial on March 15. It heads out from Warrandyte to St Andrews, Hurstbridge and Wattle Glen before hitting the hills above Warrandyte at Kangaroo Ground. This 41 km ride is you against the clock and everyone who does the Strava Segment on the morning. Presented by GreenWEDGE Cycling and in its fifth year and this is your chance to see if you can do it in Sub1. Join and then register with the Strava GreenWEDGE Cycling Strava club here.
